Advanced vocational training is a form of education which does not confer a degree, but provides professional training for students having obtained their secondary school leaving certificates. The training lasts for four semesters. We train legal assistants (OKJ listed) starting from the 2008-09 academic year in either university or secondary level student status. The university student status courses are full-time or part-time, state-financed or self-financed forms of training, mostly carried out by the academic staff of the Faculty. Students studying in state-financed form can apply for placement in a student hostel and a state stipendium. Programmes at secondary level student status are offered under the supervision and quality assurance of the Faculty according to cooperation agreements in the following secondary schools: Fáy András Közgazdasági Szakközépiskola (Miskolc), Andrássy György Közgazdasági Szakközépiskola (Eger) Károlyi Mihály Közgazdasági, Fővárosi Gyakorló Kéttannyelvű Szakközépiskola (Budapest), Európai Üzleti Polytechnikum Gimnázium és Szakközépiskola (Budapest), Péter Rózsa Gimnázium és Szakközépiskola (Székesfehérvár), and KTI Európai Üzleti és Kommunikációs Szakközépiskola (Nyíregyháza).
Students who complete these advanced programs can find employment as secretaries, clerks, or administrative executives, or can continue their studies in Bachelor programs (BA in Administration Management, BA in Employment and Social Insurance Management, or the undivided MA in Law programme). In this case a large proportion of the credits gained in the Legal Assistant course are taken into account in students’ further studies.
